About Belgrade

Serbia is a relatively small country located in southern Europe in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Its largest city and the capital is Belgrade with a population of over 2 million. It is positioned at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and represents one of the oldest cities in Europe and an intersection of the roads of Eastern and Western Europe.

Belgrade has a distinctive architecture and boasts numerous impressive historical and tourist attractions from various historical periods. Some of the most popular and breath-taking tourist sites in Belgrade are the following: the Danube and Sava Rivers, Belgrade Fortress, Avala Tower, the Square of the Republic, Vuk's Monuments, Kalemegdan Park, Knez Mihailova St. etc.
